Every German adult owns on average 95 pieces of clothing (not counting underwear and socks), 40% of which she and he hardly ever wears. If you consider that just one pair of jeans consumes 7000 l of water to make and covers a distance of several 1000 km, you can already imagine the enormous waste of resources that this entails. But what can each individual do about it?
In our 3-hour workshop, you will learn various techniques to redesign and upgrade your clothes so that they no longer have to lie unworn in the closet. You decide which technique you want to use.
Clara Schmidt is a trained fashion designer from Berlin. For several years she has been supervising and leading sewing workshops with different topics for children and adults. Since this year she also works at a studio that repairs and reuses clothes sustainably.
