Current repair workshops in our open textile workshop Fetzen&Flicken

Under the guidance of experienced tailors, you will learn about repair and upcycling methods and can implement them directly on our machines. Check out our next dates in September:

Thursday, September 2: 4 – 7 p.m.: BAG REPAIRING and PANT RIP REPLACEMENT
With master tailor Thomas Gläser
Everybody knows it: Key ring or cell phone strain the pocket bag and sometime there is a hole. High time to make the pocket bag somehow tight again. Over time, the zippers on many pants break. We show you how to replace a pants zipper and thus your pants can continue to wear.

Thursday, September 9: 6 – 8 p.m. + Saturday, September 11: 2 – 6 p.m.: UPCYCLING WITH EMBROIDERY
With fashion designer Emilia Patrignani
Emilia Patrignani gives an introduction into embroidery techniques and how you can personalize clothing and costumes with the use of illustration and figurative embroidery. Embroidery adds an emotional value to a garment. Ethical and sustainable is not always afordable, so we can make sustainable a garment we bought through 2nd hand or fast fashion by learning how to embroider on it.

Thursday, September 23: 6 – 8 p.m. + Saturday, September 25: 2 – 6 p.m.: UPCYCLING PILLOWCASES
With master tailor Thomas Gläser
We approach the topic of upcycling by making simple textile products. You can either bring your own used textiles or buy some here at a reasonable price. We will then use them to make pillowcases. If you want to sew in a seam-covered zipper, it is best to bring a suitable one.

Workshop registration required at: Donation fee for the workshops € 15. Please bring negative test, proof of vaccination or recovery and a mask.
